We’ve been dreaming of adding butterflies to our collection for a while now. And not just any butterflies, these are the kind that catch the light just right and make your books look like they’re resting in a garden.
Made With Love (and Glass!)
Every butterfly bookend starts as a sketch in our studio. Then we begin the careful work of turning that drawing into something real. We use the Tiffany technique, which is just a fancy way of saying we cut every piece of glass by hand, wrap it in copper, and solder it all together. It’s slow, thoughtful work, and that’s exactly how we like it.
We use real stained glass—bright blues, soft purples, minty greens, and warm golden tones. When sunlight shines through the wings, they glow like they’re fluttering in place. The base is made from strong Polish oak wood, smooth to the touch and heavy enough to hold even your thickest hardcovers.
